Serve the tacos hot with the cilantro lime sauce on the side for dipping. They’re perfect on their own or alongside fries, chips, or a simple salad.

Pro Tips
• Use small tortillas — they crisp better and hold together nicely.
• Don’t overdo the sauce in the pan — you want sticky, not wet chicken.
• Add extra BBQ sauce if you prefer a deeper red color.
• Cheese on both sides helps seal the taco and prevents filling from falling out.

Ingredients (makes 8 tacos)
For the Honey BBQ Chicken
• 300 g Chicken breast, diced
• 1,5 tsp Salt
• 1/2 tsp Black pepper
• 2 tsp Paprika
• 2 tsp Garlic powder
• Honey (about 1–1½ tbsp)
• BBQ sauce (30–40 g, more if you like it extra saucy or red)
1 big onion , finely diced
• Oil for frying
For Assembly
• 6 small tortillas (about 5–6 cm / street-size)
• 150–200 g shredded cheese (depending on taco size)
To Serve
• Cilantro Lime Sauce

Instructions
Prepare the Sauce & Seasoning
In a bowl, mix the honey, BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Set aside, this ensures even flavor later and prevents over-seasoning in the pan.
Cook the Onion & Chicken
Heat a pan with a little oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and sauté until soft and lightly golden. Add the diced chicken and cook until it’s almost done.
Glaze Everything
Pour the prepared honey BBQ mixture into the pan. Toss well so the chicken and onions are fully coated. Let it simmer briefly until sticky and glossy.
Assemble the Tacos
Heat a lightly oiled pan. Place a tortilla in the pan, add a layer of cheese, spoon in the honey BBQ chicken mixture, then add a little more cheese on top. Fold the tortilla.
Crisp
Toast the tacos on both sides until golden and crispy and the cheese is fully melted.
