Zutaten
  

For the chicken
  • 350 g chicken thighs cut into chunks
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch about 15 g
  • 90 –100 g all-purpose flour
  • 45 g rice flour not glutinous
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp MSG
  • 175 –180 ml water
For the glaze
  • 45 g honey
  • 40 g butter
  • 5 garlic cloves finely chopped or grated
  • 1/2 tsp MSG
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Method
 

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
  1. Cut the chicken into medium-sized chunks. Add soy sauce and cornstarch, then mix well.
Step 2: Make the Batter
  1. Add flour, rice flour, salt, garlic, paprika, pepper, and MSG. Slowly add water while mixing until you get a smooth batter. The consistency should be not too thick and not too thin, just enough to coat the chicken.
Step 3: Coat the Chicken
  1. Add the chicken into the batter and mix until every piece is fully coated.
Step 4: Fry the Chicken
  1. Heat oil to medium-high heat and fry the chicken in batches until golden and crispy. Remove and let excess oil drain.
Step 5: Prepare the Glaze
  1. Melt butter over low to medium heat, add garlic, and cook gently until fragrant. Stir in honey and MSG. Keep the heat low to avoid separating the butter.
Step 6: Toss the Chicken
  1. Add the crispy chicken to the glaze and toss quickly until evenly coated.
Step 7: Finish and Serve
  1. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
